R.A.D.A. Illustrated: A Series of Social Justice Discussions Captured Through Imagery

Program Type: Book Clubs, Exhibit, History
Ages: Adult

Description

The R.A.D.A. (Read. Awareness. Dialogue and Action) social justice book discussion programs use strategic illustration, a nonintrusive form of "note taking" to capture the essence of many of our discussions. Kriss Wittmann, the artist, and illustrator of the seven posters on display utilize visual language as a tool to document each conversation in real time, by "illuminating key concepts, different perspectives, decisions and the collective input of the participants." The final products are large intricate mural maps created with text, graphics, and illustrations. We invite you to explore the visual language of past discussions through pictures.
