Program Description

Event Details

This is the third session in a three-part poetry series that addresses the cycles of gentrification and the harm it causes in our communities. This session is led by featured poet led by Confidence Omenai. We will explore the concept of Afropresentism in relation to gentrification. We will learn how to use all the technology available to us to harness our power and summon ancestral strength. Poetry exercises will channel all that Denver was and all that remains, into the city we will become. Followed by a reading open to all participants. Although this program is open to all, it has been designed specifically for members of the BIPOC community to explore these issues as an affinity group.

This event requires registration and room is limited. Please register through our presenter Collective Healing Through Art: https://forms.gle/AWX1FzSygSvUbQwY6
