Program Description

Event Details

Papel Picado represents joy. We can choose our favorite color or the favorite color of our loved ones. It represents the wind, one of the four elements. The delicate nature of Papel Picado, as it is made from thin, easily torn paper, symbolizes the fleeting and transient nature of life. It serves as a reminder to appreciate and savor the present moment. They are traditionally used to decorate an altar made for our loved ones that are not here anymore or other festivities. This is an intergenerational program, for both young and old.
