Program Description

Event Details

In this series, we will use the laser cutter and Adobe Illustrator to create and cut materials for jewelry. This program will run for a total of 4 sessions, each one building upon the previous session. So, we prefer for customers to attend all sessions. We will go over the basics in Adobe Illustrator to create the files necessary to cut the jewelry pieces, and how to use those files with the laser cutter to cut/etch the materials.

Session 1 (Tuesday, March 7) Introduction to laser cutting and Adobe Illustrator: use basic shapes to create jewelry.

Session 2 (Wednesday, March 8) Text: Create earrings or pendants with engraved text.

Session 3 (Thursday, March 9) Etching: Create earrings or pendants that incorporate an etched photo.

Session 4 (Friday, March 10) Rings: Create wooden rings or work on your design using what you learned this week.

Registration required. No prior experience is necessary. Experience with a mouse and keyboard preferred.
