Program Description

Event Details

Memory Cafe is a fun place to socialize, relax, and engage with people experiencing memory loss and their families/caregivers. Each cafe has a focus—such as music or art—to facilitate the main goal, which is a social connection for individuals with shared experiences. At the Memory Cafe, you can just be yourself -- without worrying about remembering or forgetting.

Today's Theme - Denver Museum of Nature and Science presents; Apollo: When We Went to the Moon

Description- It was July 19, 1969 when Neil Armstrong took one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.  In conjunction with hosting the travelling exhibition, Apollo: When we Went To The Moon –  the Museum is bringing a taste of Moon travel to you! Reminisce on the Apollo 11 mission, then get a feel for life in space by trying some of NASA’s astronaut exercise equipment and tasting astronaut food. Explore objects from the Museum’s space exploration education collections, and finish with a look at how history is about to repeat itself by sending humans to the Moon once again!

This program will be held in person at the Virginia Village Library
