Memories in the Making / Creando Recuerdos

Memories in the Making is a watercolor class for people experiencing Alzheimer's, dementia, or other forms of memory loss.

This class will help you find the artist within yourself! In each session, the teacher will guide you in creating imaginative and colorful watercolor paintings. Everyone is welcome -- you don't need painting experience to participate. We provide you with the opportunity to paint and explore and find joy in the creative process. This is a drop-in class. No registration is required, so come anytime! Snacks and paint supplies will be provided.

Memories in the Making is a "memory friendly" class that offers creative engagement to people with memory challenges, mild cognitive impairment, or Alzheimer's/dementia. Families, friends, and caregivers are welcome to enjoy the class as well.

Creando Recuerdos es una clase que le ayudará a encontrar al artista que lleva dentro. En cada sesión, un instructor le guiará para crear pinturas de acuarela, dándole la oportunidad de pintar, explorar y disfrutar del proceso creativo. No es necesario tener experiencia para participar y no necesita inscribirse o estar presente durante toda la clase. Proporcionaremos los materiales para pintar y habrá refrigerios. 

Esta clase es ideal para ejercitar el lado creativo en las personas con problemas de memoria, deterioro cognitivo leve o Alzheimer y/o demencia. Familiares, amigos y cuidadores son bienvenidos.
