Madame Defarge Knitting Salon: Hand Dying with Kool Aid and the Crocheted Virus Shawl

Program Type: Arts and Crafts
Ages: Adult
This is the first event of a series.
Registration for this event is no longer open

Description

Leave out all the harsh chemicals and learn to dye wool yarn with Kool Aid and other food safe colorings. Our expert teacher, Janny Potter, will show you how to handpaint your yarns and safely heat them to set the colors. When you are all finished with the process, you’ll use your yarn to make a beautiful crocheted shawl. And you are welcome to attend the first two nights to learn how to dye with Kool Aid if you'd prefer to not make another project. Yarn requirements remain the same. All registrants for this class will receive a confirmation that includes information about materials and supplies needed for the class.
