Not all lineage society ladies have blue rinsed hair and rarely do they wear sensible shoes. Not everyone needs a country club to hold a meeting. Explore the history of Lineage and Heritage Societies and how this community can be an invaluable source in furthering and preserving your genealogical research for future generations.

James K Jeffrey is the Emeritus Special Collections Librarian for Genealogy in the Western History and Genealogy Department at the Denver Public Library.
After answering your questions for 35 years he retired from DPL in September of 2020. James is enjoying reading, gardening, and exploring his own research. He and his wife Karin are enjoying being trained by their year old standard poodle, Lyra.
