Program Type:Civic Engagement
As the public faces renewed concerns about misleading content amid COVID-19 on top of the ongoing threat of disinformation during an election year, PEN America and the Denver Public Library present a workshop to help strengthen media literacy skills. Using timely examples rooted in and relevant to Colorado and live tutorials, participants will learn how to better defend themselves against false news—about coronavirus and disinformation in other contexts—and how to support balanced media consumption for the health of their news diets. Participants will leave equipped to consume news with a critical eye, ready to discern the veracity of the information they see online.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
