Program Description

Event Details

In the Americas, the culture surrounding the jaguar has permeated most ethnic groups since pre-Columbian times. Jaguars also became a universal symbol of political and military power which gave rulers a protective animal spirit. Today, jaguar culture is still prevalent in many countries and is expressed through various art forms. We will create a jaguar mask and decorate it while we learn about the meaning of the jaguar in Latin American history.
