Join DPL and Think 360 Arts this fall for Inside the Artist’s Studio! This series gives older adults a behind-the-scenes look at an artist’s life, vision, and business. Local artists will take you on a dive deep into the art-making process of many different art forms, live from their studio! Learn, grow, and meet new people with some of the best artists in Colorado today.

About Tony Ortega:

Tony Ortega holds an MFA in drawing and painting from the University of Colorado. He is the recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. Tony is known for his vibrant, colorful artwork and his lifelong goal is to contribute to a better understanding of the experiences, culture and history of Latinos through his art. He has taught art for over 20 years. His teaching philosophy is based in classroom learning and application to the art world. He teaches his students the formal skills of drawing, printing and painting, which includes color theory, composition and the use of materials. He teaches his students that art is a visual tool for the communication of ideas. He hopes to generate excitement and curiosity in his students that will foster their interest in the art world and their individual development.
