Event Description:
Join us for an immersive evening featuring the screening of INAATE/SE/ [it shines a certain way. to a certain place/it flies. falls.] on November 14th, 2024, at the Westwood Community Center. Directed by Adam Khalil and Zack Khalil, this powerful film reimagines the Anishinaabe story of the Seven Fires Prophecy, blending documentary, narrative, and experimental forms to explore how the prophecy continues to resonate through generations in their indigenous community on the Michigan/Canadian border.
Following the screening, engage directly with the filmmakers in a live Zoom Q&A session.
