Program Description

Event Details

In honor of National Mental Health Awareness Month, join Harvesting Hope facilitator Confidence Omenai as she explores creative tools to strengthen resilience and well-being. Low-cost sliding-scale resources for mental health services, and practical planning for managing stress, depression, and anxiety will be shared. The session will close with a yoga exercise designed for all bodies and levels of mobility. This is an opportunity for intentional togetherness and creativity, which is key to collective healing.

The suggested companion book for this month is Red Lip Theology by Candice Marie Benbow. Read at your own pace or listen to the audio. Find multiple formats available at the library.

Harvesting Hope is an intentional community for African American older adults to learn new ideas, read books that speak to their experiences, create, heal, and share resources while building an ongoing support network. Facilitated by Confidence Omenai in partnership with the Denver Public Library.
