Join us the last Friday of this month for a movie, snacks, and a brief discussion.
This month: Dawn of the Dead (1978)
With a nationwide zombie takeover in full tilt, a group of survivors descend upon a Pennsylvania shopping mall for refuge. Ideal at first, for the humans who discover it: food, new clothing, not to mention all the other creature comforts a modern American could desire. But the novelty of their situation soon gives way to hedonistic impulses, as word of their secret utopia is discovered by outsiders. Begging the question, who will get to them first: violent roving bands of mortals or the flesh-eating dead? In the words of the late-great Jimmy Buffett, "it's a jungle out there, kiddies" and it's every man for themself, regardless if they be dead or alive.
Come commemorate the 2023 Halloween weekend with certainly--if not the greatest--the most colorful zombie movie known to man.
