We don’t just build genealogies, we collect, preserve and tell our family histories. Family histories are more than just the birth, marriages and deaths of our ancestors. Each ancestor has a life story to tell us…if we can just discover it and tell that story.

In this lecture we explore how to choose an ancestor with an interesting story to tell and how to assemble the facts that give us a more complete story about an ancestor. Examples from the lecturer’s family are used to illustrate the process and the results.
