Program Description

Event Details

Forensic genealogy is a new buzzword these days. What exactly is forensic genealogy? How is it applied? Is it effective? This talk will address these questions and provide some real-world examples.

Forensic genealogy is researching family history for a different goal.   It uses all the tools of genealogy with a slightly different perspective. Some examples where forensic genealogy may be applied include land transactions, mineral rights, criminal investigations, adoptions, and guardianships.

Hold on to your hats because what you learn will open Pandora’s Box!
