Forensic genealogy is a new buzzword these days. What exactly is forensic genealogy? How is it applied? Is it effective? This talk will address these questions and provide some real-world examples.
Forensic genealogy is researching family history for a different goal. It uses all the tools of genealogy with a slightly different perspective. Some examples where forensic genealogy may be applied include land transactions, mineral rights, criminal investigations, adoptions, and guardianships.
