Honoring the Corn Mothers and our ancestors.

Engage in a lively interactive community building workshop with students from MSU Denver department of Chicana and Chicano Studies Journey Through Our Heritage program and Corn Mother Master Mexican folklorist Rita Wallace-Flores. Enjoy creating a life size calavera with a custom  messages written to your loved ones and experience the artistry and magic of Rita Wallace as she creates a traditional altar as using elements of the ancient tradition of Colima, Oaxaca, and other regions of Mexico.

Honrando a las madres del maíz y a sus antepasados. Participe en un taller comunitario interactivo y animado con estudiantes del programa "Viaje en nuestro patrimonio" del Departamento de Estudios Chicanos de Metropolitan State University y la experta folklorista mexicana Rita Wallace-Flores. Disfrute creando una calavera de tamaño real con un mensaje personalizado para sus seres queridos y observe la habilidad artistica y magia de Rita Wallace mientras crea un altar tradicional usando elementos de las antiguas tradiciones de Colima, Oaxaca, y otras regiones de México.
