Collective Healing Through Art: Transitions in Elderhood

In honor of Older American’s Month, we invite you to participate in a special class dedicated to exploring and honoring life transitions during elderhood. Join us for three virtual 1.5 hour sessions to reflect on the joys and challenges we have faced and find healthy ways to cope by facing our journeys with self-compassion. Presented by Collective Healing Through Art, a program of Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains, this interactive series will be an opportunity for community members to reflect, recharge and gain creative tools to strengthen your resilience and well-being during life transitions. As the pandemic continues to transition, we believe opportunities for intentional togetherness is key to collectively recovering from these challenging experiences.

This virtual course is open to all older adults. This program will be a creative space for intentional exploration, togetherness, and skill-building.

The class facilitator is Haley Sanner, Program Coordinator for the Collective Healing Through Art Program at Lutheran Family Services of the Rocky Mountains. Haley has worked in the aging field for many years as a social science researcher and program manager with organizations such as AARP Foundation, LeadingAge Virginia, HelpAge International and as a Fulbright Researcher in Nepal. With a focus on social connection and isolation/loneliness, Haley is passionate about multigenerational programming that connects people in more equitable, sustainable and communal ways across generations. She loves using her outgoing personality to spark conversation, listen to people’s stories and find new creative ways to engage together.
