Event Details

This month Book Explorers is partnering with Museo de las Americas to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Join us on Thursday, September 16, 4-5 p.m.

Want more? Join us on Saturday, September 25 (10 a.m. English, 11 a.m. Spanish) for the Book Explorers: Family Stories art workshop with Museo de las Americas.

Book Explorers Kit: Those interested in attending are invited to pick up a Book Explorers Kit courtesy of Museo de las Americas from any branch library location starting the first week of September, but it is not required to join the discussion. There are limited kits available and they are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to bring: Some of our activities may require paper and coloring markers or crayons. Please have these on hand before you join our book club session.

Note: Participants who want to change the way their name appears on the screen must do so before entering the room through their myaccount.google.com

This event is in English.

The link to the Google Meet will be posted the day of the event.

You can be a Book Explorer! Book Explorers is a free program exploring books and fun enrichment activities for elementary school kids from kindergarten through fifth grade. Book Explorers connects eBooks and print books, online discussions and activities, virtual book club meetings, and take-home kits. It’s like a book club for kids that you can do anytime, anywhere. Find out about other Book Explorers stuff at kids.denverlibrary.org/book-explorers.

  • Look online for new books posted each month.
  • Ask at your local branch library for take-home kits (supplies limited).
  • Join us online for virtual book club discussions with library staff and other kids.
