Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate Winter of Reading with a virtual evening for book lovers! We'll talk books with James Mustich, author of 1,000 Books to Read Before You Die, the compulsively readable, entertaining, and surprising book that celebrates the greatest books of all time, from Harold and the Purple Crayon to the works of Shakespeare to sci-fi classics like Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? There’s something for every reader. Each of our five local luminaries will battle to advocate for their favorite books, vying for the hearts and minds of the audience members (you!). The audience will then vote to name the champion.

Our literary gladiators include returning champion author Dr. Elizabeth Renee Fajardo (MSU Denver), Dr. Carl Clark from the Mental Health Center of Denver, author David Heska Wanbli Weiden, reporter and anchor Chris Parente, and Representative Leslie Herod. Books will be available for purchase from BookBar

Registration required below. This event will be hosted on Zoom, and you'll receive an email the day before the event with the link to join. You can download Zoom ahead of time at https://zoom.us/download
