Interested in building your own website? Come to our series of 5 classes to learn the basics of website development using Moonfruit.com.
Classes run from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Level 4 in the Large Classroom at the Central Library on the following days:
Monday, February 7; Tuesday, February 8; Monday, February 14; Tuesday February 15; Tuesday, February 22.
Each class in this series will build on the skills covered in the previous classes so attendance at all five is strongly recommended. Class 5 will be an open lab to come in and work on the website you have developed and get additional assistance for any areas you found tricky during the class. Participants must have an email address and at least intermediate level typing and mouse skills. Over the course of all 5 classes, you will cover:
- Understanding the editing environment: page and Master (CSS) views
- Editing your Webpage and its objects
- Adding text
- Adding a file structure
- Inserting images
- Creating links and navigation bars
- Adding and organizing Webpages
- Image tools and how to use them
- Creating a feedback form
- Interacting with your visitors
- Global design settings
- Page Master site settings
- Finding your site on the internet
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
You are in luck! We repeat this series quarterly in the Community Technology Center. In August we will be teaching the Wordpress series on Monday nights from 5:30 - 7:30.

Very efficiently written information. It will be priceless to anybody who uses it, together with myself. Sustain the good work – for positive i will try extra posts.
Is there a benefit in employing someone with experience to do the SEO, or do you recommend doing it personally?
