Technology, Travel, and Retirement!

Whether you have questions about Social Security and retirement, technology, or just want to virtually travel to India, join us for a Fresh City Life My Branch program this week!

Got computer questions? Whether you want to know more about being safe online, sending email, the Denver Public Library catalog or databases, or how to download ebooks or audio ebooks from the DPL web site, our Tech Open House can help you feel safe and successful when using the computer! Bring your questions! Wednesday, September 7, 2:00 p.m. at the Bear Valley Branch.

Always wanted to travel to India? Go on a virtual trip with Traveling Librarian: India with Kristin Roper on Wednesday, September 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Smiley Branch. Due to circumstances beyond our control, this program has been canceled. Please check the events calendar for other great upcoming travel programs!

On Wednesday, September 7 at 5:00 p.m. at the Ross Cherry Creek Branch representatives from the Social Security Administration and from Waddell & Reed, Financial Advisors will answer your questions in Social Security and Retirement: What You Need to Know. Learn how to estimate your Social Security benefits, if there is a "best age" to start receiving benefits, and if you can work and receive benefits at the same time. Tax issues surrounding Social Security and retirement will also be discussed. Bring your questions! Light snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to: or 303-819-2845. This program will also be offered at Schlessman on Monday, September 12 at 5:00 p.m.

Look for more programs on the Denver Public Library Events Calendar!
