Sewing, Traveling, and the DPL Catalog, Oh My!

Fresh City Life My Branch has a lot of choices for you this week, from learning about Polaris, DPL's new catalog, to women's history to the basics of sewing.

Want to get back into the groove of placing holds and checking your library account online? Learn about all the new features of Polaris, the Denver Public Library's new system at one of these classes:

Monday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ross-Broadway Branch Library

Wednesday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ross-University Hills Branch Library

Do flight attendants know things about travel that the rest of us don't? You bet they do! Join former flight attendant James Rogers as he shares insider tips, advice, and travel stories and learn to travel like a flight attendant! Take off on Friday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch Library.

Always wanted to learn to sew? Now's your chance! This 3-session class will teach you how to set up and run a sewing machine, read a pattern, and let you complete a fun project. Learn how easy and fun sewing can be! Saturdays, March 12, March 26, and April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch Library. Registration is required. If you want to celebrate Women's History Month and the not-so-well-behaved women that have made history in Colorado, join the Fairmount Heritage Foundation on Sunday, March 13 at 2:00 at the Schlessman Family Branch Libraryfor their look back at some of Colorado's famous women.
