Red State Screening and Q&A with Kevin Smith

Last night at the Paramount Theatre, it was my pleasure to view Kevin Smith's newest film, Red State, and listen as he answered questions and spoke for almost 2 hours after the credits rolled. This film is his next to last film before he starts a new stage in his career.

Described by Smith to be, "A Tarantino movie by way of the Coen brothers," Red State was all that and more. Very unsettling, but not your typical Horror fare, I really enjoyed this film. The use of satire plus the brilliant performances of John Goodman, Michael Parks and many others, puts Kevin Smith in a whole new league of film directors in my opinion.

If you'd like to learn more about Kevin Smith, check out his autobiography. His Smodcast, a project he looks forward to spending more time on in the future, has had highlights that have been made into a book!  If you are bummed you missed the event last night, check out other Q&A sessions he has hosted!
