Meeting Rooms

To reserve a meeting room at the Central Library, please email or call the event coordinator with the following information:

  • Date and time of meeting
  • Number of attendees
  • Special requests such as AV equipment, catering, setup needs

To reserve a meeting room at a Branch Library, submit a completed Meeting Space Reservation Request/Commitment form to the branch where the meeting is being held.

Study rooms (for 2-3 people) are available on Levels Two and Three. These rooms are free of charge and available on a first-come basis. No reservations are accepted for study rooms.

Information for Central Meeting Rooms only:

Please note that the Central Library schedules meetings during Central Library hours only, Monday through Saturday. The only exception is for events in the Vida Ellison Gallery.

If you are planning an event that will require liquor liability insurance, the reservation process should be initiated at least 60 days prior to the event.

Requests for meeting room space are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Central Library Event Coordinator must receive the following at least 14 days prior to your meeting:

  1. Completed Meeting Space Reservation Request/Commitment Form (signed after availability has been confirmed)
  2. A check for the total rental fee, including fees for security and custodial costs
  3. The required food fee, if food will be served at your meeting
  4. Copies of applicable insurance policies

Large or complicated meetings or events require that you tour the Central Library with the Event Coordinator.

Qualifications for Reduced Rental Fee

In general, reduced fees are available for meeting rooms under the following circumstances:

  • Nonprofit meetings that are free and open to the public where all can participate fully
  • State and Federal government meetings and forums which are open to the public

Meetings and events which are sponsored by the Library in support of its mission and goals, or are sponsored by agencies of the City and County of Denver are exempt from rental fees.
