Central Library, Level 5, January - March 2012 (Reception tba)

It’s official; our world has become inundated with instruments of intrusion, invention, interaction, and instant gratification that have changed the way that we interpret our environment. This i‐volution has affected photographers as much as anybody, giving us more ways to see, capture, and share the images that surround us. iWorld invites you to respond to the “i‐zation” of our nation with your best interpretation, inspiration, innovation, or illustration of the world that you see.

Chuck Mobley (Associate Director, San Francisco Camerawork Gallery)
Brian Paul Clamp (Gallery owner and director, ClampArt, NYC)

Read the iWorld Guidelines for entry details.

The iworld exhibit is automatically excluding those with no money. Why an entry fee?

Although we are offering gallery space for the exhibition, the Library is not the organizer of the exhibition and has no control over entry fees. We contacted CPAC for a response and they informed us that they are working towards a show calendar that features more curated exhibitions, for which there are no fees involved.

"However, we do still need to raise money from exhibitions in order to do that and so we committed to scheduling two fee-based shows a year, instead of eight, which was the standard before. It is hoped that in the future we will be able to reduce that to one juried show, which will be free to members. In the meantime, your customer respondent can apply for an exhibition at CPAC with no charge by following the guidelines posted on the CPAC web site. That is an open call for non-fee based shows." - Colorado Photographic Arts Center

Thank you for researching this issues...another reason why I value my library! I will enter the non-fee show.
