  • What to Expect When You Are Expecting is being adapted into a romantic comedy.
  • Danny DeVito has been cast as the Lorax in the film version of the Dr. Seuss masterpiece according to USAToday.

  • The Hunger Games is being made into a movie and Suzanne Collins is reported to also be writing the screenplay.
  • As reported in the NYT and elsewhere, the New Zealand government has altered their labor laws to allow the filming of the two Hobbit movies, expected to begin filming in February 2011. The films are scheduled for release in Dec. 2012 and 2013. Martin Freeman (from the UK TV series, The Office) is set to play Bilbo Baggins.
