ArtSkool debuts this Spring

Curiosity skilled the cat. And the freshness just keeps coming.

Fresh City Life debuts its new monthly series: ArtSkool. This arts exploration is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of visual and performing arts, while at the same time building a bridge between students and Denver’s vibrant arts community. ArtSkool “students” will build an appreciation for an art form with which they previously had little or no experience. As with all of our events and workshops, Fresh City Life will partner with talented individuals and organizations to bring exciting programs within reach of our community. ArtSkool includes collaborations with local museums, galleries, dance studios, theatres, and individual artists to create programming that gives participants the tools and confidence to enjoy the arts in Denver more fully.

May Birds with artist Marie Gibbons

One of Denver’s most ingenious ceramicists, Marie Gibbons, leads this workshop centered around one of the art world’s primary mediums: clay. While making beautiful May Bird creations, you’ll learn techniques for hand-building with clay, along with a general terminology and fundamentals of design related to clay sculpture. All materials provided. Marie will fire your finished sculpture and you’ll pick it up ready for display in about two weeks.

ArtSkool will begin its first session in May. Keep an eye on our calendar and our facebook page for updates.
