Recycling and volunteering--does it get any better than that when it comes to feeling good?
Fresh City Life My Branch wants you to catch the feeling, and we can help this week!
On Tuesday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m., join us for You: Volunteering: How to Help Others and Feel Great! at the Bear Valley Branch. If you've always considered volunteering, but weren't sure how to get started, here's the program for you! This session will inspire you and help you find the right organization and opportunity with which to share your time and talents. DPL employee/volunteer Chelsea Jordan-Makely will share stories from her experiences as a volunteer in Africa and here in Denver, and DPL Volunteer Coordinator Veletta Hopes will offer advice on how to get the most out of your volunteer experience. You'll leave with a list of resources and the inspiration to get out into the community and help!
Another thing that can make us all feel great is helping our planet by recycling. On Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ross Cherry Creek Branch, you'll combine recycling with fun craft and gift ideas in 5+ Things to Do with an Empty Jar. Whether you're looking for simple yet creative gifts or have a plethora of jars at home that you want to upcycle, this class will inspire you! You'll leave with recipes and ideas!
