Calling all kids! And that means all grown up kids, too, who love watching Saturday morning cartoons while devouring a big bowl of cereal. Denver Public Library is hosting this tribute to the days of ‘yore’ youth – we’ll be screening great cartoons from the 60’s right up through to the new millennium. Lots of fun retro stuff. And we’ll serve it up with a cereal bar of fun, nostalgic cereals – and healthy choices, too! But it gets even better for the real kiddos in the audience. Have homework that you need help with? Working on a project for school that is lacking good resource materials?
Join us for an afternoon filled with Star Wars fun! In honor of Star Wars Reads Week, we're hosting a party with crafts, games, and other fun activities for all ages. Free and open to the public. No registration required and costumes encouraged!
NOTE: This event is at Denver Beer Co, 1695 Platte St. We're excited to celebrate BrewHa!Ha! with Denver Beer Co. (www.denverbeerco.com) over a glass, a pint and a keg of Denver Public Library inspired brew. This limited edition kettle sour blended with black currants was created just for us, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. So get it while it’s cold, and available, beginning Thursday, September 3, at the release party. Remember to bring your Library card for $1 off your pour and ask for Sour 641.23.
NOTE: This event takes place at Fiction Beer Company, 7101 E. Colfax Avenue. Fiction Beer Company (www.fictionbeer.com) has created a specialty brew inspired by Denver Public Library. We think you’ll love this flavorful and satisfying cream ale. It features the earthy herbal flavor of caraway that blends perfectly with the sweetness of poached pears, turning this style of beer on its head. Join Denver Public Library and local author Kevin Hearne at Fiction Beer Company Friday, September 4 and get $1 off your first beer with your Library card.
