To celebrate Women’s History month, we invite you to come hear a panel of literature lovers from the community read historic works written by African American women. The panel will present a diverse sampler of poetry and prose from different eras, including pieces from the Harlem Renaissance to the Revolutionary Black Power eras of the sixties and seventies, and beyond.

Wendy Robinson is a writer and facilitator who grew up in the Five Points area.

Colorado Humanities Presents: Black History Live - Rosa Parks

National humanities and Chautauqua scholar Becky Stone will portray Rosa Parks teaching how one woman, in 1955, through determination and will, refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, starting the Civil Rights Movement.

Local artist Lesa Rose Webb was born in Los Angeles, Calif. and graduated from Santa Barbara City College with an Associates in Art degree. She specializes in the production of high quality fine art paintings of people and cultures of color. She works in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints.
