Birding at the Stone House

Interested in learning birding in the field? Meet us at the Stone House in the Bear Creek Greenbelt for a guided birdwatching walk among cattail marshes, riparian ponds, and woods along both concrete and dirt trails. Bring your binoculars if you’d like to see birds from a distance. The walk is rain or shine and the group will depart just after 9 a.m. from the parking lot.

Dr. Larry H. Spruill - educator, scholar, author, theologian and artist. Currently, Dr. Spruill is an Assistant Professor of History at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a creative vision and has published texts, academic and literary manuscripts. His motivational, inspirational, and creative talents are demonstrated in some of his photojournalism and via his global awareness in the civil rights moment.
