Liz Masterson, from Denver, is a Colorado native and an award-winning singer. In a career that spans 30 years, and covers 40 states and Canada, Liz has performed at the Smithsonian Institution, the Lincoln Center in New York City, and the (Autry) Museum of the American West. In 2007, she yodeled on Myth Busters. Her most recent CD, Roads to Colorado, received the Will Roger’s Award for Best Western Album of 2009.

Have you ever wanted to learn the tradition of the dances that go into Bollywood movies? Join the Colorado Ballet at the Byers Branch Library to learn how to do some of these dances for your self! Brian Mullins and Mike Fitzmaurice play the Chinese erhu, a two-stringed bowed instrument, along with a variety of other Chinese instruments. This lively group has performed at Denver Public Library before and is back by popular demand. Enjoy traditional Chinese tunes mixed with contemporary and American music played on these classical instruments.

The versatile musicians who make up The Lost Tribe have a deep respect for their source material, from the evocative tunes of Eastern European Jews and Gypsies to the sinuous rhythms of the Middle East and Mediterranean.

Puerto Rican Bomba is the earliest musical genre known from Puerto Rico and it is still very alive on the island today. Come learn different rhythms and the history of this beautiful genre. We will teach percussion, dance, and songs in a very interactive and educational format.

All ages welcome. Safe environment for families. No prior knowledge required. Bring conga, djembe, or bomba drums if you have one. We also provide instruments for a limited number of people.

Barrio E’ fosters Latin American and Caribbean cultural diversity in the arts in the state of Colorado.

For those of us who grew up listening to what is arguably one of the most important albums ever produced in American popular music, Carole King’s Tapestry perfectly marks a time in our lives. This music is now being rediscovered by new generations; you can’t keep a good album down. Singers and songwriters Janis Kelly and Lisa Bell pay tribute to Carole King’s masterful breakout album in Tapestry Revisited.
