We will examine the philosophy and ideas that underlie the text as well as the continuing influence of the document today all around the world.
During the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, join Active Minds for a look at what caused the war and how our country was changed as a result. This program will not attempt to cover the military conflict in any significant detail, but rather will focus on what preceded and followed it.
As we commemorate over 70 years since “D-Day” this June, join Active Minds for a look at this crucial turning point in World War II. We will examine the dynamics that led up to the Invasion of Normandy, the complicated and challenging preparation process, and the decisive impact this battle had upon the outcome of the war.
IRG meetings will be fairly informal affairs with a meet-and-greet from 10-10:30; a brief presentation on genealogical research methods from 10:30-11 a.m.; and open, assisted research from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

The Black Genealogy Search Group (BGSG) was created to increase the popularity of our common interests in genealogy and Black history. We hope to grow and expand our activities as we attract new members. We also want to experience enjoyable times when we are together and working on projects.
