Join the Western History/Genealogy Department and the First Baptist Church of Denver AT THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF DENVER, 1373 GRANT ST., for a sneak peak of historic church records that will be donated to DPL in May. These rare and unique records are a genealogy and Denver history goldmine. James Jeffrey, Genealogy Librarian will be your host as we uncover the First Baptist Church of Denver's hidden history.
As we commemorate over 70 years since “D-Day” this June, join Active Minds for a look at this crucial turning point in World War II. We will examine the dynamics that led up to the Invasion of Normandy, the complicated and challenging preparation process, and the decisive impact this battle had upon the outcome of the war.
IRG meetings will be fairly informal affairs with a meet-and-greet from 10-10:30; a brief presentation on genealogical research methods from 10:30-11 a.m.; and open, assisted research from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
