The Denver Police Museum presents a look at the past, highlighting male and female African American police officers who have served the community. The exhibit will feature oral histories from retired officers, as well as uniforms, badges and other artifacts.

The Denver Public Library is pleased to host the annual Denver Public School Citywide Middle School Art Exhibition, featuring 2D and 3D artwork.

Exhibit: Sisters, Soldiers: Black Women and the Modern Military

African American Women have played a role in every war effort in United States history. Sisters, Soldiers examines the past and present military service of black women, from the Civil War to the War on Terror. Placing black women as soldiers within a broad historical context, the exhibition highlights the impact of race and gender issues on military service as well as the "breakthrough" moments in the history of that service.

This exhibition was created by the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
