Herndon Davis: Journalist and Painter

Floor 5, Western Art Gallery

This exhibit includes elections from the rich Herndon Davis (1901-1962) collection found in the Western History and Genealogy Department collections. Most of the paintings are watercolors of Denver's historic buildings as well as a couple from elsewhere in the state. Davis created portraits and storyboard drawings for newspapers making him not only an artists but a journalist as well.

The Horndribbles: Illuminate the Imagination!

Come experience the wacky, fun, and special world full of The Horndribbles! These wonderful monsters are the creation of Denver artist Herbert Joel (aka Lucas Richards), and are a delight to kids and grownups alike. The opening party will include fun activities and snacks.

The Energy Department’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory exhibit is back again in support of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. From fundamental science and energy analysis to validating new products for the commercial market, NREL researchers are dedicated to transforming the way the world uses energy.

Visit the library and explore an exhibit that features examples of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and applications.

Floor 3, Cousins Gallery

Seven women artists share both their individual and collective journeys navigating the world as women of color. Featured artists include Holly Kai Peterson Hurd, Jannah Farooque, Aisha Renee, Anicesha Wilson, Abril Fresca, Kimberly Ming and curator Helen Littlejohn. Artistry includes painting, jewelry, mixed media, fabric and spoken word.

Aromatherapy Potions with Moondance Botanicals


Join us on a scentual adventure as we learn about the benefits of aromatherapy. We will learn how to create our own custom blends and make a body/room spray and a sugar scrub to take home. Limited to 20 participants. Registration required.

"Celebrating Colorado Women" is an exhibit and program series featuring all 152 inductees into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame since its founding in 1985. The Colorado Women's Hall of fame recognizes, honors and preserves the contributions of trail-blazing Colorado women.
