Her recently published book, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, has charted on the New York Times bestseller list and has garnered enthusiastic notices from reviewers and readers. Doughty is currently working on her second book and on a mortuary project that is close to her heart. Mixing humor with storytelling and cultural asides, she is an engaging speaker who makes talking and thinking about death more accessible and even joyful.
