Making an afghan a square at a time can be a fun and portable way to grow a project. And if the finishing work is the reason you’d never attempt such a thing, this ongoing project will help you through all your finishing hurdles, too! This yearlong Madame Defarge Knit Along can be started anytime – just drop in on Monday night to pick up the pattern and get some coaching from our resident expert, Janny Potter. Janny teaches the basics of an afghan pattern that resembles traditional quilted squares.
This May’s intermediate knitting workshop is a mélange. Talented knitting and crochet instructor, Janny Potter will be on hand to assist with any advanced-beginning and intermediate questions and technique lessons. Students working on our yearlong Log Cabin Afghan (see below) may drop in for knitting help and encouragement. Knitters and crocheters with other projects at hand are encouraged to bring them in for any assistance in restarting or finishing their UFOs (UnFinished Objects) Registration is not required for May intermediate workshop.
Distraction free sewing at our open-sew lab where you can bring any project to work on. Don’t have a machine? No problem! We will have several on hand for you to use, so grab your supplies and head on over!
