Make Your Own Plant Marker and Learn About Our Seed Exchange

Make your own plant marker at Ross-Broadway Branch Library, on Saturday, March 21, from 10am-11am.

Add some whimsy to your garden with a plant marker you can call your own. Turn everyday items like a fork and a tin lid or wine cork into a marker that will inspire your green thumb and remind you where your seeds are planted. Materials for your first marker are included.

Create 3D-Printed Picture Books in the ideaLAB!

Our family ideaLAB workshops in March will be a little different than usual - we're hosting the team from Tactile Picture Books Project for two days of workshops with the end goal of creating 3D printed tactile picture books for children with visual impairment.

Women of the Chicano Movement

Please join us on March 1, at 2 p.m. at the Central Library to hear Dr. Priscilla Falcon from the University of Northern Colorado speak. Dr. Falcon is the director of Hispanic Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. She is a Chicana activist who has spent her career promoting greater awareness of the Chicano culture and of the injustices committed against its population.

As my exploration with mindfulness continues, I have to admit sometimes I struggle. Being aware of thoughts and feelings sounds so easy, but it definitely takes work. The increased awareness has helped me focus more on the present and I find I'm rehashing the past a little less, which is a huge step for me.
