Want some creative ideas for your next summer event? Learn some dishes that will liven up your picnics or hikes in Picnic Foods with Monica Kadillak at 2 p.m. at the Bear Valley Branch. Recipes and samples included!

Curious about the birds of Colorado? Join us for Bird Watching, Part 2 (even if you missed part 1!) at 10 a.m. This in the field class will meet at City Park, Thatcher Fountain, just north of 17th Avenue & the City Park Esplanade, across from East High School. If you're a history buff, you won't want to miss our latest Colorado Authors series talk by Carron Barrella, author of More Than 36 Days: Four Men Face Extraordinary Circumstances. Ms. Barrella will be joined by the men she writes about, four veterans from the Battle for Iwo Jima in World War II. Learn their stories, and meet with history! 2 p.m. at Schlessman.
