Tell Us What You Want To Do!

We're planning the Fresh City Life My Branch calendar for the fall and winter months. What events would you like to see?

Do you love gardening? Is cooking your passion? We have a variety of talented programmers who provide free adult cultural events like arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, gardening classes, guitar lessons, film discussions, sewing sessions, historical field trips, parenting classes, book clubs, painting lessons, and so much more. How do you like to spend your free time? What have you been dying to learn or try? Tell us what you're interested in and we'll see what we can do!

Would love a beginners sewing machine class. Pref for adults. It's discouraging to be in a room of mostly little kids in most beginner classes and be the only adult beginner who's not 'catching on' :(

Thanks for the suggestion! While it's not exactly a class, we are currently offering a "Sewing Lounge" at the Schlessman Family Branch and the Sam Gary Branch. The next one is Saturday, September 7 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Schlessman Family Branch. It would be a great opportunity for you to practice your skills and we often have an experienced sewer available to answer questions. But, we'll definitely keep a beginner class in mind! Thanks!

I am a Animal Lover! I have always thought working for the Library. There should be a Denver Dumb Friends League, Adopt a Pet Program held here the Library at least a couple times a year!!!!!!

We have the meeting rooms, and the Denver Dumb Friends League would probably love to DO IT!

Adopt A Pet and the books to go along with it!!!!

Thanks for the great suggestion! We've worked with the Dumb Friends League many times for children's programming, but adults love animals too!

I would love to see a Slam Poetry classes and performances in library.
Also classes on oral story-telling and performances.

Love this idea! This sounds like a lot of fun.

Stuff at Ford-Warren!

Thanks for the suggestion! Fresh City Life My Branch programming is currently only offered at a few of our branch locations, but we are examining our service delivery. Keep an eye out for possible changes in the future. We'll see what happens.

enjoying Colorado living -- B&Bs around the state, dog friendly hikes, city hikes, food trucks, scenic drives, hot springs, best place to get discount gear, best places for locals to ski, etc.

We've held some programs like this in the past and they're always very popular. We'll definitely continue to offer local travel and Colorado living events. The Schlessman Branch has tried some local historical field trips as well.
