Starting in September, TechGirlz will offer monthly workshops at the Hadley Branch Library, covering a variety of tech topics for girls in grades 6-8. From teaching web design to coding and more, TechGirlz inspires middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers.

Students will get a brief introduction to how websites work and how they are built through interactive activities.
A Day in the Life of a Web Designer
Saturday, October 6 9:30am-12:30pm
In this workshop, students will learn how designers work in teams to define user needs, develop the architecture of a site, and design visual elements of a website.
Designing Mobile Apps
Saturday, November 10 9:30am-12:30pm
Students will work together to design a mobile app, from selecting an idea, to creating a prototype and showing off their final work.
Making a Website Using HTML/CSS
Saturday, December 8 9:30am-12:30pm
Students will learn the elements of HTML and CSS, and then create a website.
