2019 Summer Maker Challenge

Summer of Adventure has just begun and we want you to have fun this summer by making stuff!  Join in our Summer Maker Challenge for kids and teens ages 0-18.

What is it?
All you have to do is make something and share a picture or video of it with us on the Summer of Adventure website. It should be something you have made over the summer, and you’ll have until August 10 to do so. When you enter something in the challenge, you'll also be entered into a drawing to win prizes - electronics kits, tools, art supplies, and more - that will help you make even more things.

What should I make?
Anything you like! Visit the gallery to look at what other people have already submitted, but don’t feel limited. You could build a robot, take a beautiful picture, bake a cake, create a LEGO sculpture, or code your very own game.

Need inspiration?
Come and visit us at an ideaLAB near you! Currently there are ideaLABs at the Central Library, Hadley Library, Hampden Library, Montbello Library, and Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales Library. We’re happy to help you 3D print, sew, and solder your ideas to life.

To find inspiration, visit Instructables, Make, DIY.org, or Thingiverse.
