Lots of daydreaming and imagining happens in the summer. It's a perfect time to wonder about all sorts of things like What If You Had Animal Hair!? or What If You Had Animal Teeth!? Or when you visit other places, do you ever wonder what it might be like to live there? If You Lived Here: Houses of the World gives you an idea of what it might be like to live in houses around the world. The girl in If I Had a Raptor imagines the wildest pet ever! But, in If I Were a Lion, a girl imagines how wild she could be if she were an animal herself. What do you think would happen If All the Animals Came Inside? What If? you made one choice instead of another? Would something different happen? What if ... you made your own What if book?
I love the idea of "What if..." Especially on a summertime, staring up at the puffy clouds kind of day. What a great idea to pull all these titles together!
Thanks for your comment. It was fun to see the different "what if" titles of children's books. And I remember summers full of "what if" ramblings as a kid; some of the ramblings were just fanciful thoughts and some actually led to odd games, structures and contraptions.
