Madame Defarge Celebrates the Season: No one will lose their head, but it will still be amusing!

Our knitting salon has been hosting knitters, crocheters and fiber hobbyists for nearly ten years! And our lady of the yarn, Madame Defarge, loves to bring her crew together at the end of the year -- just for fun! Great light snacks, a warm cup of cider and the joy of hanging out together. Join us for this festive annual tradition. And check out more adult cultural events at Fresh City Life

Madame Defarge’s Holiday Party
Monday, December 2, 5-7:30 p.m.
Central Library, Level 1 Fresh City Lounge

Celebrate like it is 1859! Madame Defarge is our knitting and craft night mascot – and one of Charles Dickens’ most memorable characters. She knitted while she observed the executions of the French Revolution in A Tale of Two Cities. And as she watched, she knitted her bitterness and names of her enemies into her knitting. That ought to put you in a holiday mood! We’ll serve up Dickensian realness at this gathering with a touch of steamed pudding Victoriana! A chance to wish the best of the season to other local crafters – and work on a last minute project or two; bring any favored, portable project to work on while we nibble, sip and laugh.
