Back to School: Fashion Trends for Fall 2014
- Wild prints
- Bomber jackets
Another trend, boyfriend jeans, are designed to look like you've borrowed your boyfriend's jeans, so the fit is loose, the cuffs are rolled, and they are distressed so that they look old. Surprisingly, maternity boyfriend jeans are also available.
Bogosse.com and TeenVogue report that guys will be trading in baggy clothes for a more slim silhouette that includes skinny jeans, "Michael Jackson" ankle pants, fedoras, fur, checks, quilted jackets, roll-neck sweaters, dark green and the "Rebellious Prep," a look that might include a leather jacket and Doc Martens.
Although stores such as H&M and Forever 21 have made fashion affordable, savvy shoppers can also check out consignment stores such as Plato's Closet or My Best Friend's Closet to find great deals. For more determined bargain-hunters, Denver area ARC thrift stores have racks of battered jeans in all sizes and styles, usually under $8. If you're looking for something specific, try some of the online auctions such as Shopgoodwill, ebay fashion, or LikeTwice.
