Google Calendar Basics

The only reason I remember doctor’s appointments, weddings, and birthdays is because of a tool called Google Calendar. It lets me know what I need to do, when I need to do it, and it will even send reminders to my email (for better or worse).

All you need to use Google Calendar is a Google account (if you have a Gmail email address then you already have a Google account! Great job, take the rest of the day off). You can schedule meetings, time box tasks, and share calendars with coworkers, friends, and family.

Google calendar is cloud based, which means it's online, so you can use it on your smartphone or any computer with internet access. That corgi desktop calendar you have can’t compete.

If you’re interested in taking your time management to the next level, come join us for a Google Calendar Basics class this Thursday, October 26, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The class is free and there’s no registration required. You don’t need to bring a computer, just an email address!

Here are all the details for the class:

Will this class ever be offered again? Unfortunately, I found out about it too late, but am VERY interested.
Thanks!

Hey Karen!

It absolutely will. We will offer the class in January (exact date is to be decided).

You could also call us at 720-865-1706 or email us at ctc@denverlibrary.org to set up a 1 on 1 appointment sometime in the next couple of weeks. Customers can have one 55 minute appointment once a month on tech topics ranging from Google Calendar to Photoshop.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
