Help Denver's Hungry: Holiday Canned Food Drive

Start the season of giving by donating food to Denver's hungry. Ross-University Hills Branch Library is collecting non-perishable food items to donate to Metro CareRing, one of Denver's largest hunger-relief programs providing nutritious food and other items and services to individuals and families in need. Not sure what to donate?
Some of the items on Metro CareRing's list of Top Ten Needed Food Items are:

--canned fruit (in water, natural juices or light syrup)

--canned entrees (hearty soups, chili or canned chicken)

--breakfast cereal (whole grain and 10 grams or less of sugar)

--peanut butter

--canned tuna (in water)

Bring non-perishable food items to Ross-University Hills Branch Library during our regular operating hours. All gifts big and small are appreciated. Now through November 30.
