First, when there's nothing but a slow glowing dream

We're putting on our toe shoes -- for a film night at the Colorado Ballet

We’re excited about our renewed community partnership with the coolest cultural group in the neighborhood – Colorado Ballet! Together, we’ll be creating wonderful opportunities for you to learn about dance in the city and enjoy the best that the Denver performance scene has to offer.

You're invited to: Flashdance (1983)
Thursday, January 24, 7:15-10:15 p.m.
Colorado Ballet Academy, 1278 Lincoln Street, Denver, 80203

Grab your favorite (and artfully cut) sweatshirt and knit a pair of legwarmers while watching the classic story of a woman trying to trade her steel-toed work boots for ballerina toe shoes. Starring Jennifer Beals and Michael Nouri, it's perfect 1980s fantasy to knit by – and our teacher, Ann Myhre will be on hand to teach you all the right moves – knitwise, that is. Don’t miss this fab opportunity to hang out where all of Denver’s finest dancers do it. All intermediate knitters (confident in casting on, binding off, decreasing, increasing, knit, purl and basic pattern stitches) will be registered for this workshop. Materials list provided with registration confirmation. 95 minutes. Rated R.

I have never known what that lyric actually was until right now. Love Flashdance. Makes me want to rip the neckband out of my sweatshirt and dance like a maniac.
